Jonathan Hourigan is a writer, director, script consultant and teacher who has worked on a variety of shorts and features over the last 30 years. He is a graduate of both Oxford University and the National Film and Television School.

Jonathan has worked with a variety of people, including legendary French director Robert Bresson, for whom he was assistant to for his 1983 film L’Argent, which won the Director’s Prize at the 1983 Cannes Film Festival. He now aids in caring for the legacy of the esteemed French director. Jonathan has also worked on a variety of his own projects, writing and directing a selection of shorts, and directing and writing his first feature film Almost Home in 1994.

As well directing and writing, Jonathan also tutors at the London Film School, where he holds the position of Head of Screenwriting.
